Ghouls are creatures that are cousins to the bogeyman. Ghouls hide in forests and other places during the day so that they can come out at night to hunt. They will search for whatever they can find, but if nothing else can be found, they will resort to going to graveyards. In the graveyard, they look for the graves of the recent dead. They will then open the graves and eat whatever they can find.
Reality

Ghouls come from Muslim folklore. The ghoul is an evil spirit that supposedly walks graveyards at night and eats the flesh of the dead. A pretty disgusting thought at best.
